My 4 favorite and easy money saving tools

I’m BACK!! I must say March has been a long month and we’re not finished yet. Between the current allergy season in high gear along with a positive test result, I ended up staying home with my box of Kleenex for two weeks. While symptoms were mild it took my allergies to a completely unwelcome level. Let’s just say I should own stock in Kleenex now 🙂

During my downtime, I took advantage of updating and looking for new ways to make our financial lives easier. I’ve included links for you and am not affiliated with any of them, just a satisfied client.

  1. The Family Freezer Healthy eating made easy | The Family Freezer A pleasant surprise, I decided to meal plan this month before I knew I was going to be home-bound. The photo is my Kroger run in order to prepare 5 Freezer Meals with 6 servings each. My total cost – $63.00. Register for one of her free online cooking classes and discover how easy it all comes together. Most are cooked in the crockpot or instant pot. So far I have made BBQ Chicken, Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin, Turkey & Black Bean Chili, and Peach Chicken. All taste great and definitely be made again. It was easy, defrost the night before, empty the bag of contents in the crockpot and let it cook.
  2. Fetch Rewards Fetch Rewards, Earn Free Gift Cards & Get Cash Back, #1 Rewards App – Fetch Rewards Earn cash back on all your purchases! Were you the one who spent Sunday afternoon clipping coupons from the paper? With this app, you don’t have to. Simply scan each receipt you have from any store or restaurant including gas after you shop. You earn reward points for each receipt and the points are redeemed for gift cards. It takes e-receipts also.
  3. Rakuten and Honey extensions Rakuten: Shop. Get Cash Back. Repeat. My Explore | Honey (joinhoney.com) Last year I downloaded both extensions and every time I shop one or both pop up to give me a choice of using coupons or earning cashback. It pays to compare the two.
  4. GasBuddy GasBuddy – Cheapest Gas Station Finder App with Money Saving Benefits Yes I was late getting on the GasBuddy bandwagon. Discover saving anywhere from 3 cents to more than 10 cents a gallon depending on the station, fuel grade, and membership level. I have the free version and am saving an average of 6-8 cents per gallon.

Do you have favorite money-saving apps on your phone? I would love to learn more about which ones you find to help you save money.

In the meantime, remember to begin putting together your April spending plan and include extra for Easter celebrations and spring school activities. Baseball anyone?!
