How to survive, enjoy, & stop being stressed or broke during the holidays this year!

There’s no time like the present to start planning for holiday presents! If you’re just getting your holiday list started or if you’re looking for a few ways to save for the holidays, I’m here to help you plan your next festive purchases WITHOUT breaking the bank or blowing the budget sky high.

I must confess, I haven’t started planning on my own, but I have been busy building a resource to help you plan yours! Note to self….use my own tools and resources :)! While we want to be Pinterest or Instagram worthy a simple pen and paper is perfect to get started. Also, just in case you want something a bit more festive I have you covered! What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t provide a cute printable PDF to help you get all the magic making done, right!?!

Click above to request it and I’ll deliver it straight to your inbox faster than Rudolph can blink his red nose! It includes a holiday gift list, meal planning list for shopping, and a few surprises.

TIPS TO GET STARTED

  1. Home baked gifts are something everyone loves to receive. A friend of mine and her mom used to spend an entire weekend baking gifts for friends, clients, and family. It was something they loved doing and created beautiful memories along with loyal recipients of their sweets! Think things like peppermint bark, sugar cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels, or a festive trail mix.
  2. Holiday movie marathon for the entire family. Decorate a festive dining table with ingredients for everyone to make their favorite popcorn flavors. Have large bowls of popcorn ready and cooled (so the chocolate doesn’t melt). Scatter small bowls with chocolate chips, Reese’s peanut butter pieces, shaved coconut, pretzels, marshmallows, nuts, or other favorite sprinkles. Stream your favorite movies, pull out cozy blankets with hot chocolate and have fun! It could be your new holiday tradition!
  3. Draw names for gifts this year. The holidays bring on enough worry and stress on their own and if you’re experiencing unforeseen job changes the stress and frustration is compounded. Several years ago due to dad’s work being on the downturn in Oklahoma along with many others they decided we would draw names and not “purchase” gifts. Mom gifted her high school scrapbook from the 1950s containing all the wallet size autographed movie star photos, fashion drawings she did in pencil along with an assortment of other papers. It remains to this day one of my favorite possessions.

Remember to request your free PDF above and look for more of my tips in saving money this holiday season as I navigate the new reality along with you. I’ll be posting in my Facebook and Instagram pages as well.
